"At Carmel Road, we’ve tailored our viticulture and winemaking techniques to capture the compelling character of our unique terroir. To showcase Porter Vineyard’s Chualar Loam soil we utilized a number of low-input techniques including: cold pre-soaks, native yeast fermentations, hand punchdowns, French oak aging, and no fining or filtration. Our 2007’s deep, youthful color leads to aromas of mulberry, cherry, spice, cassis, cola, root beer and wild strawberries. This is a full, rich, intense wine that derives much of its structure from fine, well-integrated tannins. Dense and complex, this Pinot Noir has the potential to age well." - Ivan Giotenov, Winemaker
